During the world wars, telegraphs were favored then the brand new and more advances telephone that was available by then but this was due to how limited telephones were back then.

When 1870 came around, the telephone was invented for use. There was a problem with releasing it commercially to the general public and this was the telephones lines. It took some time to set up these lines for telephones to connect to each other. Then in 1878 and 1879, the telephone was finally released for public use and since lines are up in Americas largest cities, many people have gone to have phones at their homes.

The coming of 1894 gave a great landmark for innovation. This was when the radio was innovated. The idea came from adapting the far reaching radio waves and apply it so that it will be used for communication. Because it only used wavelengths, wires were not necessary and the communications lines could reach much farther then telegraphs or telephones.

The several inventions that contributed is quite vast. Many entertainment platforms used previous technology to build from. Cellphones and videos had evolved from the likes of telephones, radios and the television.
